Cofus; Privacy / 01

Privacy Summary

Cofus does not collect personal data, track users, serve advertising, or upload manuscripts to a developer-operated service.

Information Cofus Does Not Collect

Cofus does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, diagnostics, contact information, manuscripts, cover images, library attachments, or usage history.

The app contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDK.

Information Stored on Your Mac

Books are stored as .cofus packages in locations selected by the user. A package can contain manuscript content, book structure, page settings, a cover image, and files added to the book’s library.

Writer profiles may contain a name, email address, phone number, website, and postal address. Writer profile information is stored locally in the app’s preferences and is not transmitted to the developer.

File Access

Cofus uses the macOS App Sandbox. The app accesses books, exports, and library files only through files or locations selected by the user.

Users control where .cofus packages and exported PDF or RTF files are stored.

Accounts and Network Services

Cofus does not require an account, login, subscription, or developer-operated cloud service.

The current App Store version does not send manuscript content to an AI service.

Backups and User-Selected Services

If a user stores a Cofus book in iCloud Drive, another cloud-synchronized folder, or a third-party backup location, that service may process the file under its own privacy policy.

Cofus does not control services or storage locations selected by the user.

Children’s Privacy

Cofus does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users because it does not operate a data-collection service.

Policy Changes

If Cofus introduces features that change its data practices, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before those practices are introduced.
